Canadian Book Trade Bibliography, 1935-1985

Drawing on more than 300 printed sources, this database provides bibliographical references to articles about Canadian publishing that were issued between 1935 and 1985. Topics include the production, distribution and selling of books and magazines in both English and French.

Darienne L. McAuley compiled the original work, An Annotated Bibliography of The Book Trade in Canada in the Twentieth Century, 1935-1985, under the sponsorship of the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Native Studies at Trent University, with the aid of a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She also acknowledges the support of John Wadland, Paul and Nancy Audley, William F.E. Morley, Gordon Roper, and the late Michael Treadwell, as well as the many librarians who facilitated her research.
