Biographical sketch | Dorothy Dumbrille was born in 1897 in Chrysler, Ontario. Her first book, WE COME! WE COME!, a collection of poems, was published in 1941. Her first novel, DEEP DOORWAYS, followed in 1947. Her other publications include the novel ALL THIS DIFFERENCE (1963), and non-fiction titles such as UP AND DOWN THE GLEN (Ryerson, 1954), and BRAGGART IN MY STEP (Ryerson, 1956). Dumbrille also contributed poems, stories, and articles to numerous periodicals and anthologies, including FLYING COLOURS (Ryerson, 1942), edited by Charles G.D. Roberts. |
