CCICED 2012 Issues Paper: Regionally Balanced and Green Development

Document
Date

Description

This report analyses the discrepancies in China's regional economic and environmental development in terms of working towards becoming an Ecological Civilization. A new model of development is suggested, one that is 'greener' and places more emphasis on domestic consumption. As CCICED enters Phase V of its work (2012-2016), this report emphasizes the need to balance regional development and design differentiated regulations and incentive systems that are both fair and workable.
