Harrison Brown Collection

Photographs and writings by Harrison Brown (1893-1977), a freelance journalist, writing for The Evening Standard, The New Chronicle, The New Statesman, and the Fortnightly Review between the World Wars. He also worked as a broadcaster for the BBC. Harrison moved to Hornby Island, British Columbia in 1937.

Also included are three photographic field notebooks, two diaries, an unedited manuscript "Trail of a Freelance", and other materials including biographical notes regarding Harrison Brown.
