Description: Ringbolt attached to the rocks at Ringbolt island. Ringbolts were attached to the island to help sternwheelers winch themselves throught the Canyon. Stern wheelers or paddle wheelers were the main mode of transportaion in the Canyon before the Grand Trunk Pacific rail line was built.

Description: On it Sleeps Raven Pole. On-it-Sleeps Raven Pole. This pole was erected before 1884. It was re-erected and the raven on top re-carved in 1927 as a part of a National Museum of Canada project. House of Gaum is house seven on the Gitlaxdzawk map (see Gitlaxdzawk_051).

Description: Collecting moss. These scenes of resource gathering were initiated in order to fill some of the gaps left by earlier anthropologist and cultural observers among the Gitxsan. The Book Builders of 'Ksan also produced a volume on these collecting and processing practices titled Gathering what the Great Nature provided: food traditions of the Gitksan, by the people of 'Ksan.
