Description: Sternwheeler run aground in the Kitselas Canyon. This is likely the site of Tsunyow. A Sternwheeler drive shaft was excavated at the Tsunyow site and it may be from this particular wreck. Note the fishing station on the rocks in the background. This may be the only photographic documentation of occupation of the Tsunyow site.

Description: Memorial for Chief Walkus, carved by Arthur Shaughnessy and raised in 1924. Walkus' father was from Rivers Inlet and his mother was ''Namgis. The 'Namgis Burial Grounds at Alert Bay is an old native cemetery and one of the few remaining locations on the BC coast where totems remain undisturbed on their original site.
