The Celtic Connection is a tabloid newspaper that has been publishing in the Vancouver Lower Mainland of British Columbia since it was co-founded in October 1991 by Maura De Freitas and Catholine Butler. With approximately ten issues per year, the paper has provided news, satire, announcements and descriptions of events of local associations, poetry, obituaries, and photographs to a readership of some 35,000 Irish, Scottish, and Welsh descendants living across western Canada and the Northwestern United States. This digital collection includes all issues published since the paper’s inception in October 1991 to May 2016.
