Emergency meeting called by Vancouver and District Labour Council to hear B.C. Federation of Labour secretary Cliff Andstein (shown speaking) and B.C. Teachers Federation president Elsie McMurphy outline a labour campaign against two pieces of anti-labour legislation introduced by the Social Credit government April 2. The meeting launched a huge campaign against Bill 19, the Industrial Relations Reform Act and Bill 20, the Teaching Profession Act.
