Tlingit war axe, designed with carved handle, bear or wolf crest at shoulder and nephrite blade. Possibly human hair adorning carved face and inset with operculum shells for teeth. Haft is adorned with weaved basketry. Collected by Spanish in 1791.

Museum exhibition of Tlingit armour, including a war helmet depicting a human face, and two sets of carved visors. The armour is fabricated from Chinese yuan coins acquired from European traders. Collected by George Emmons, 1894.

Helmet of fairly recent construction based on condition. The bird likely depicts a raven and has inlaid operculum teeth and attached human hair.
