Rain Screen, su kheen, formed the front wall of the sleeping chamber of the master of the house. The large partition stood between the rear support posts and is made of thin split red cedar boards of varying widths. The front surface is intricately carved in low relief and painted to represent the Spirit of Rain, Su, which was symbolized by a great crouching figure with outstretched arms. The Whale house family of Gaanaxteidi men among their at.oow (sacred items). In the centre stands Kuwdu.aat, with his son. Kuwdu.aat and his boy stand between two decorated bentwood boxes that hold the lineage's sacred items. On top of the one on their right is a mask made in the image of X'akat. ahan, the woman who raised the Wood Worm. (description given by Jennie Thlunault in Nora Dauenhauer and Richard Dauenhauer.
