This view of K'uuna shows how the line of the house row is modified to follow the contour of the shore.

The Eagle House stood in front of the house row. Here, the frame of the house remains with the frontal pole. The frontal pole of Peaceful House can be seen standing behind the Eagle House in line with the rest of the house row.The two mortuary poles on each side of the Eagle House are associated with houses in the row behind Eagle House.

In the foreground, the frontal pole and standing beaver memorial pole of Peaceful House. The frontal pole is shown no longer attached to a house frame. Directly behind is Standing House with its frontal pole.

Alder House and its frontal pole stand between the frames of Waste Food House (left) and the third house in the row from the east end.The mortuary on the left originally had a plaque painted with a grizzly bear crest. In the middle is an eagle mortuary, and on the right, a mortuary featuring a grizzly bear eating a boy and a whale eating a seal. Note that the frontal plaque featuring the head of a grizzly bear is still in place.

This is the top portion of the House Mother frontal pole. Here you can see one of the watchmen, and the grizzly bear with its cub (depicted in human form).

On the left is a mortuary that was originally fluted in the section directly below the frontal plaque. Weathering has softened the appearance of this detailing. On the right, a two-finned killer whale mortuary that has lost its frontal plaque and both of the whale flukes. The mortuary is very similar to another pole further down the row, except that pole has only one fin and did not have a figure below the whale.

Originally, on the frontal plaque was a carved grizzly bear. Shown here is the two-finned killer whale, with the body making up the length of the pole, and a figure at the top holding on to the tail. Below the head of the whale is the head of another figure that is obscured by vegetation in photographs.

Long after the house frame vanished, the frontal pole of House Raven Found remained standing. Shown here is the lower portion of the pole as vegetation blocked the upper half. The base figure is a grizzly bear with an entry hole in its stomach that was not completely cut through. Directly above is a killer whale with a human figure holding on to its tail.

This large memorial was erected for a brother of Captain Klue. The brother was among a number who were drowned while fishing near K'uuna. The figure at the base is a beaver with fourteen potlatch cylinders above it.

On the post was a carved eagle with a small figure wearing four potlatch cylinders in between its wings, and the face of another small figure in between its ears. The pole originally had a painted eagle crest on the front plaque and a beak that was separately carved and attached.

A mortuary pole for the remains of the owner of Grizzly Bear's Mouth House. The upper section of the post was fluted, and it originally had a frontal plaque featuring a bear holding a copper.
