Al Brown, project co-ordinator with boat for Nicaragua in Mosquito Creek Marina

Description: Fisherman Al Brown at the Mosquito Marine with the hull of the Solidarity II, the boat he built together with others in the local fishing industry for fishermen in the fishing co-operative I San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Delivered to Nicaragua in 1994, the boat was used by the co-op for several years before the costs of maintaining it made it uneconomic. Working with Brown are, left to right: Bruce Logan, Michel Drouin, Bob Palmer, and Ken Robinson.
