A very important Masters thesis that provided the historical research on the legislative exclusion of immigrants of colour from both provincial and federal labour laws, including employment standards. Is part of the history of legal discrimination and legislative racism in British Columbia and Canada. Written by Calvin Sandborn, the director of the Fraser Valley Farmworkers Legal Services Project who worked closely with the CFU. Sandborn was also the lawyer for several injured farmworkers who sued growers for compensation for their injuries on the job.
