Button's encouraging the purchase of "union label" products (i.e. those made by unionized workers). Rows 1-2: AFL Union Label Booster pin c. 1935; Boot and Shoe Union Label buttons); other US union label items.
Row 3: TLC era union label promotion - Union Label Buying Week, 1954 from the Vancouver – New Westminster Union Label Trades Council Rows 4 -5: Badges and pins from the CLC era BC Union Label Trades Council, c. 1980– 2000. The BC ULTC published a directory of unionized firms to patronize, and sponsored Labor Day picnics in the 1990's. It ceased operations c. 2010 and was replaced by a Shop Union web site. Row 6: Pins from Manitoba Union Label League, c. 1990; Ontario Union Label League 1997; "union bug" pins.
