Detail of house post inside Chief Shakes' X'átgu Hít (Mudshark House). This post likely represents Gonakadet with a whale's tail flippers in its mouth. Gonakadet is a whale eating monster often associated with wealth from the sea. The Haida refrer to this creature as Wasgo.
