Detail of the Multiplying Wolf Post of Chief Anaaxoots. Didicated at the ©last potlatch© held on Japonski Island near Sitka on December 23, 1904. The hosts of the potlatch, the Kaagwaantaan clan, affirmed their social status by dedicating five monumental wooden carvings. The Multiplying Wolf Posts were carved by Silver Jim (Kichxook) and installed in James Jackson©s Wolf house. Notes from University of Pennsylvania, Expedition Magazine Vol 47 No 2
