Description
Carved wooden figures guarding the grave of Date-hun (Date-khoon?), a Chilkat shaman of Killerwhale House. The full-length figure on the left is that of Geese-teen, or Gease tene, a supernatural spirit helper. The larger figure on the right is Gou-ghe yah-tee, "drum holder" (G. T. Emmons, The Tlingit Indians)
