Star House

The Star House is shown here abandoned after the death of Chief Stilta. The siding of the house, which is considered to be skin, was removed with the death of the chief. The bones, or posts and beams, were left standing during the mourning period for the chief which often lasted for two years. This house belonged to Chief Anetlas.
