Description: Double mortuary pole erected for the remains of a wife of the chief of Skedans, Xanadjat. One of her crests was the dogfish with a large labret. The dogfish crest came from Sitka Alaska, from a story of a woman who began to change into a dogfish while talking to her friends one day. Her nose lengthened and turn inwards towards her face.

'Nekt was an aggressive warrior and led many successful raids against neighbouring tribes. He is remembered and celebrated by the Gitxsan people as a powerful and great leader.
