Carpenter picket on non-union Eldorado [Motor Inn]

Carpenters Union members picket Eldorado Hotel in east Vancouver for its decision to award expansion work to a non-union contractor, ending years of using union labour for the working class patronized hotel. Particularly egregious was the fact the non-union firm was a spinoff of a former union company that went bankrupt leaving thousands owing, including to its workers' pension fund.
