Description

Printing Pressmen, part of the Joint Council of Newspaper Unions at newspaper publisher Pacific Press hold rally outside Pacific Press to protest the recent corporate manoeuvres of newspaper giants Southam and Thomson, which saw the two companies consolidate their ownership in various markets by closing competing newspaper and eliminating 1,000 jobs. Speaking at left is Vancouver-New Westminster Newspaper Guild president Brian Hill.
