London Drugs picket

Unionists picket two locations of London Drugs, which was carrying supplements and other products from Adams Labs, declared hot by the B.C. Federation of Labour. The company's operation in Surrey was the scene of a bitter strike, including attacks on pickets and jail sentences handed down to strikers. London Drugs sought an injunction to ban picketing of its stores and launched action for damages against the union. Strikers were finally successful in winning a first agreement at Adams Labs that was ratified by 92 per cent April 10.
