Marineworkers and Boilermakers Union president John Fitzpatrick ((right) with union members outside Bel-Aire Shipyard on day new owner had promised the shuttered yard would re-open. Closed Jan. 31, the yard was purchased by new owner to claim federal tax credits, but never opened again. Union members later marched to offices of government MP Chuck Cook to demand action on shipbuilding initiatives.
