Pharmasave strikers

Members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1518 picket the Pharmasave store at Surrey's Newton Town Centre. Workers were seeking a first collective agreement. The company had recently changed management and was making arbitrary changes to working conditions, and pension and dental benefits. Employees had attempted to get an agreement nine months before striking. Pharmacists respected the picket line. A boycott of all Pharmasave outlets was in effect.
