Projectionists Union pickets during lockout

Members of the BC Projectionists Union picket Famous Players' Capitol 6 theatre on Granville Street in Vancouver after being locked out. Projectionists at all provincial outlets of Famous Players and Cineplex Odeon were locked out after four years working without a collective agreement. Companies were demanding rollbacks. Such actions eventually led to the dissolution of the union and the end of projectionism as a skilled job, as new technologies were introduced.
