Description
Rail workers rally outside the CN Thornton Park yards in Vancouver to protest legislation forcing an end to the five-day strike by the Association of Rail Unions for job security at CN and CP Rail and VIA Rail. The back-to-work legislation, Bill C-85, forced binding arbitration on the unions, extended the existing agreements for two years and provided for steep fines for violations of legislation.
