Description
Some 600 Telecommunications Workers Union members demonstrate outside the offices of the Canada Labour Relations Board offices in Vancouver to protest B.C. Telephone Company's stalling on a return to work following completion of voting on the proposed collective agreement, which was based on the conciliator's report. The union announced members would vote on the proposed contract and if it was ratified members would return to their jobs with or without a negotiated back to work agreement. The company attempted to delay workers' return when they showed up for their regular shift February 13 but relented after an hour and the return to work began, ending the 12-week lockout.
