Scope and contents
The Grace Lane fonds consists of personal papers and files documenting Lane's involvement with various church and community organizations. The fonds includes correspondence regarding her books BRIEF HALT AT MILE 50 and STURDY STRANDS OF FAITH. The fonds also includes a taped interview with Grace Lane in which she speaks of how she started writing, her involvement in literary organizations and the education of young writers, and reads and discusses selections of her work. The extent and nature of publishing-related material has not been determined.

Biographical sketch
Church worker and author Grace Lane was born in 1907. Along with her husband, the late Rev. Homer Lane, she has served United Churches in a number of communities, including Moose Jaw and Regina. She has also been active as a writer of articles and educational scripts, and has written two books, BRIEF HALT AT MILE 50 (1974) and STURDY STRANDS OF FAITH (1981).
