Talk - Action = 0/ …and ACTION has always been what D.O.A is all about. From their relentless world-renowned slam-bang live performances to their uncompromising no-bullshit political activism, ACTION is a way of life for D.O.A./ D.O.A. began in Vancouver in the early days of punk, spawned by the revolutionary independent music movement. They quickly became identified as the very forefront of West Coast hardcore, releasing a string of independent records, touring endlessly, and becoming wildly popular for their blistering stage performances and for their outspoken and charismatic leader, Joey "Shithead" Keithley. And, while the hardcore movement slowly fell apart, victim to factionalism, violence and disorganization, D.O.A. survived and grew stronger -- stronger as musicians and songwriters, and stronger in those convictions which had placed them at the vanguard of musical dissent and activism, long before such activism became trendy and fashionable./ D.O.A. -- Joe Keithley, Brian Goble, Jon Card and Chris Prohom -- have completed the first ten years of their non-stop crusade of education and entertainment.
