Description

Transcribed script for 'Farmworkers Zindabad', a video dramatization of the Hoss Farm mushroom workers who were fired upon joining the CFU and set-up picket lines to win their jobs back. The script was written in english but performed in punjabi. Also see July 20, 1984 english shooting script. The video was used extensively in the CFU's 'ESL Crusade' teaching farmworkers in their homes with an accompanying student activity book. Also attached is the document 'Video Tape Background: Farmworkers and Health and Safety'. The cover photo by Craig Berggold shows Sakhdarshanpar Machi, Jasbir Kaur Sagoo and Jesweer Kaur Brar (left to right), all new union members on picket duty along the rural road leading to the mushroom farm in Langley/Aldergrove area.
