Description
Gitksan, 'Ksan Village. This was the first painted housefront in the village, based on an old photo of a Nuxalk (Bella Coola) house. The design was a combined effort of Vernon Stephens and Earl Muldoe and was based on a typical box design of the region. This house was later copied by the Disney planners for the NWC houses at the totem village part of the Canadian pavilion there.
