Description: Yaadaas Crest Corner Pole (Second Twin). The two original Yaadaas Crest Corner Poles (or twins) stood at the front exterior corners of the Yaadaas clan house at Old Kasaan. The figures from top to bottom are the Village Watchman, Raven in Human Form, Raven, and a bear. This appears to be a recarving done by CCC carvers in the early 1940s. Description: First Twin or Yaadas Crest Corner Pole portrays the heraldic emblems or crests of the Yaadaas clan. The two original Yaadaas Crest Corner Poles (or twins) stood at the front exterior corners of the Yaadaas clan house at Old Kasaan on Prince of Wales Island. Description: On the left is a memorial pole with five potlatch cylinders at the top on the head of a shaman wearing a crown of grizzly bear claws. At the base is a grizzly bear holding a human figure upside down in its mouth. On the right, a memorial post also erected after 1881 with a watchman at the top wearing a dance hat with nine potlatch cylinders. A plain shaft intervened, followed by a bear with extended tongue, and at the base a whale.
