Description

The Canada Council grant application describes Vancouver Sath's play 'Picket Line' based on the Hoss Farm women mushroom workers who joined the CFU and fought to improve working conditions. The $10,000 Explorations grant allowed the play to be toured in Fraser Valley farm communities from Richmond to Abbotsford. Over 1000 people came out for the CFU events at the four venues from March 6 to April 8, 1988. This project description was written a year earlier in 1987.
